Sahara Housingfina shares up 20 percent

Apr 07, 2010 – Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh - Sahara Housingfina ended the trading today among top gainers with a gain of Rs. Rs.32.70 (19.98 percent). The company opened the stock at Rs. 172.00 and closed the trading at day's high value of Rs.196.40. In all 108468 shares were traded throughout the day with current P/E ratio of 74.68. Sahara Housingfina is an India-based company. The company provides loans for the purchase or construction of residential houses. It is engaged in the housing finance business and is governed by National Housing Bank (NHB) guidelines for raising deposits and deployment of its funds. The company has a tie up with National Insurance Company for its insurance cover product called National Insurance Sahara Home Loan Suraksha Bima, which covers the borrowers of the company against various risks, such as perils and natural calamities. The company operates from four regions: Kolkata, Lucknow, Hyderabad and Mumbai. It operates 13 branches, which include Kolkata, Asansol, Siliguri, Ranchi, Durgapur, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Vishakhapatnam. It is serving the customers through its home loan schemes.
