Sahara Hospital celebrates its second anniversary



Inducts latest technologies & techniques at the hospital including region’s first Portable CT Scan System, Trans Esophageal Echo Cardiography
Launches Super Specialty Thyroid Clinic, Glaucoma Clinic and Minimal Invasive Cardiac Surgery


Lucknow, February 12, 2011: Sahara Hospital, the multi-disciplinary, super-speciality, Tertiary Care Hospital, today, completed its two years of inception. The occasion was marked by the induction of Portable CT scan system which happens to be the region’s first such system and Trans Esophageal Echo Cardiography. The Hospital also launched its super specialty Thyroid clinic and Glaucoma Clinic. The hospital also introduced high tech minimal invasive Cardiac Surgery.
The anniversary was adorned with cake cutting ceremony and inauguration of new facilities by Smt. Swapna Roy, Dy. Managing Worker, Sahara India Pariwar.
The newly inducted Portable CT Scan is a device which will enable the patients to be scanned in their ICU beds, thus relieving them from being transported to the specialized CT scan room. This equipment is of great help in crucial Neuro-surgeries and can be used during surgery in O.T.
The super specialty Thyroid clinic inaugurated at Sahara Hospital will provide complete redressal to all types of thyroid problems including diagnosis, consultation and treatment facilities under highly qualified team of Endocrinologist, Endocrine Surgeon, Endocrine Pathologist and Endocrine Radiologist. The Thyroid Clinic of Sahara Hospital will provide the services in the format of affordable packages. Initially the clinic will be providing services on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
On the other hand, the ultra modern Glaucoma Clinic inaugurated at Sahara Hospital would facilitate early and accurate diagnosis of glaucoma which happens to be one of the most common causes of blindness. Thus, it will effectively save many people from the scourge of blindness by early detection and cure of glaucoma.
Sahara Hospital also announced the introduction of Minimal Invasive Cardiac Surgery whereby heart operations are performed by means of a key-hole incision and there is no requirement of cutting the breastbone (sternum). This surgery involves less bleeding, minimal risk of infection and also leads to a faster recovery. It therefore facilitates the patient’s early return to work.
